That monstrosity is what Rafael Betancourt and Huston Street combined for as the Rockies pitching staff melted down, letting the San Diego fucking Padres score eight runs from the seventh inning on, turning what should have been a 7-1 victory in a 9-7 loss. What makes the loss worse is that the Rockies offense, spurting of late, has been cranking, scoring 19 runs in the two games the Padres have been in Denver.
The topper? Brad Hawpe, the guy who looked so fucking lost at the plate towards the end of his seven years in Colorado it was sad, hit the tie-breaking two run bomb, with two outs, in the top of the ninth.
Oh, fuck me. I need a drink.
